These Terms & Conditions apply to all tours and safaris operated by Big6-Safaris (PTY) LTD, trading as Big Six Tour Safaris ("we", "us", or "our"). By booking a tour or safari with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Booking Procedure

All bookings are confirmed in writing via email once agreed between the client and a Big Six Tour Safaris agent.

A deposit is required to secure your booking. Full payment terms will be clearly stated in your booking confirmation.

A booking is only considered confirmed once a final invoice has been issued and payment has been received.

Deposits & Payments

A non-refundable deposit of up to 50% of the total tour price may be required to secure your booking.

The remaining balance must be paid before departure, as specified in your confirmation.

All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). Any bank charges or currency conversion fees are the responsibility of the client.

Cancellation & Refund Policy – Long-Stay Tours

Cancellation must be made in writing via email.

Inclusions & Exclusions

Tour inclusions and exclusions are strictly as specified in your chosen itinerary. Any changes must be agreed upon in writing.

Travel Documents & Visas

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have valid travel documents, visas and any required health documentation.

• A valid passport with sufficient validity and blank pages
• Required visas for South Africa or neighbouring countries
• Vaccination certificates if required
• Correct documentation for travelling with children

No refunds will be given if entry into a country is denied due to incorrect or missing documentation.

Travel & Medical Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and should cover cancellations, medical emergencies, evacuation, baggage loss, delays and unexpected travel disruptions.

Liability & Indemnity

Big6-Safaris (PTY) LTD trading as Big Six Tour Safaris, including its owners, directors, employees, agents and affiliates, shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, delay or expense arising from circumstances beyond our control.

Guests may be required to complete and sign an indemnity form before departure.

Safety & Risk

Safaris and outdoor travel involve inherent risks. Guests must follow guide instructions, respect wildlife, obey local rules and behave responsibly at all times.

Health Requirements

Clients are responsible for familiarising themselves with health risks in the areas they visit, including malaria regions. Consult a doctor or travel clinic before departure where necessary.

Lost or Stolen Luggage

The safekeeping of luggage and personal belongings is the client’s responsibility. Big Six Tour Safaris cannot be held liable for lost or stolen items.

Children Policy

Children are welcome on selected tours, subject to accommodation policies, safari rules and legal travel requirements.

Parents or guardians must disclose the age of each child in the travelling group before booking.

Children on Safari Tours

Age restrictions may apply for open safari vehicles and guided bush walks. It is the client’s responsibility to confirm whether children are eligible for each safari activity.

Departure Times & Delays

Clients are responsible for arriving at the agreed pickup point on time. Big Six Tour Safaris cannot be held liable for missed transfers, delayed flights, traffic delays or missed connecting flights.

Itinerary & Accommodation Changes

Itineraries may be changed due to weather, safety, road conditions, supplier changes or circumstances beyond our control.

Big Six Tour Safaris reserves the right to change accommodation if it becomes unsuitable, unsafe or unavailable.

Website Use

Website content is provided for browsing and information purposes. Final itinerary details and prices are only binding once confirmed in writing. Website content may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without permission.

Privacy Policy

Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

Security Policy

Online payments are processed securely through encrypted systems. Big Six Tour Safaris does not store full credit card details.

Changes to These Terms

Big Six Tour Safaris reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updates become effective once published on this page.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa and apply to Big6-Safaris (PTY) LTD trading as Big Six Tour Safaris.
