My name is Pieter Strydom, owner and guide of Big Six Tour Safaris. Since qualifying as a professional tourist guide in 1989, I have had the privilege of introducing travellers from around the world to the remarkable wildlife, breathtaking landscapes and rich cultures of Southern Africa.
Over the years I have explored countless kilometres across South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Lesotho and Eswatini. Every journey has reinforced my passion for sharing this extraordinary part of the world with visitors.
For me, guiding has never been simply about reaching a destination. It is about creating unforgettable moments, whether that is hearing a lion roar before sunrise, watching elephants quietly cross the road, standing beside the mighty Victoria Falls or sharing a spectacular African sunset with guests.

A lion calling before sunrise, elephants crossing the road, a clear view over the Blyde River Canyon or the thunder of Victoria Falls — these are moments that never lose their magic.
